The Plaza de la Santisima Trinidad of Cartagena is located in the legendary and popular neighborhood of Getsemani and takes its name from the church.

The name Plaza de la Trinidad was attributed to it since 1643, year in which the church was finished.

In this square took place the incitement of the people and the heroic acts performed in 1811, carried out by the lancers of Getsemani led by Pedro Romero and that helped to accelerate the signing of the absolute independence of Cartagena de Indias.

In the square today you can appreciate the sculpture in tribute to Pedro Romero and a series of graffiti that pay homage to the local culture.
