Do you remember Simon Bolivar? We have a park.

Obviously you know the liberator Simón Bolivar, but do you know the square in honor of him?

The Simon Bolivar Park or Plaza de Bolívar is one of the representative parks of the city of Cartagena.

This park has a large statue of the liberator Simon Bolivar, with an inspiring phrase that says:

"If Caracas gave me life, Cartagena gave me glory ”.

It is located in the historic center, around it is the Gold Museum, the Palace of the Inquisition, the Cathedral of Santa Catalina de Alejandría.

In general, in this park there are many artists from Cartagena and foreigners, artisans and palenqueras who sell cocadas, caballito among other products, this distinctive park has a very special Cartagena that usually feeds the pigeons of the Bolívar park.

Remember: You don't have to pay to enter here.


It's next to the plaza San Pedro Claver.
